Articles, Nifty Awards

Let’s hear it from our winner!

Q: Can you describe your business and its impact on the Dental Community in your own words?

A: I founded The Dental WINEgenist to inspire and empower the dental community, normalizing high-level discussions during happy hour. I aim to break down barriers to excellence and encourage collaboration in the field. My mission is to elevate the dental profession through education and empowerment, fostering a powerful movement.

Q: How do you feel about winning this award, and would you like to thank anyone?

A: Being recognized by peers is a profound honor that humbles me. I appreciate those who paved the way in our profession, clinicians embracing my message of excellence, and supportive companies, clients, and meeting planners. I’m also thankful for my incredible administrative team. To the critics, trolls, and naysayers who doubted my capacity for serious work, your opposition only fueled my determination and authenticity. Your judgments made me realize that I may not be everyone’s preference, but I’m someone’s choice. I’m grateful for the pressure you’ve placed on me to be true to myself and shine like a diamond.

Q: What are you most proud about this past year, and what do you look forward to in the upcoming year?

A: This year, I launched a 12-module series on dental hygienists’ role in identifying airway complications and sleep disorders, dedicated to my late mother, Linda Marie Sanders. The program aims to transform how dental hygienists evaluate patients, preventing the loss of loved ones to untreated complications. I’m also excited to share that I’ll be reading my wedding vows on New Year’s Eve, to the love of my life, Dale Stewart. I couldn’t be more thrilled to become your Mrs. Stewart!
